Dr. Borousas Dimitrios MD, FEBU

UROLOGIST SURGEON

Dr.Dimitrios Borousas was born in 1966 in Athens, where he completed his basic education. In 1983 he entered in the Military Officers School (Medical department) and in the same time he was a student of the Medical school of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki from which he graduated on 1990.

From 1999 to 2011 he served as a Physician Officer of the Navy, in various positions, having his main post in the nautical hospital of Athens, as a consultant in the hospital’s urological clinic.

After his training in the General Hospital “Evaggelismos” (plus 6 months in the children hospital “Agia Sofia”) he got his specialization on January of 2000.

In the same year after exams in Vienna, he earned the title of the Fellow of European Boards Urology.

From 2005 to 2007 he made postgraduate studies in Hamburg (International center of reconstructive urology, for a period of 18 months having as a professor M. Fisch), in Milan (University urological clinic for two months, with professor Austoni and object of studies the surgery of andrology, and in Belgrade University children hospital and Institution Sava Perovic, with professor Sava Perovic, for two months and object of studies the reconstructive urology and andrology).

He is a member of the Greek and European urological association (HUA και EAU), member of the European and International Society of Sexual Medicine.

(ESSM και ISSM) as also an active and permanent member of the International Institution of Reconstructive urology and andrology “Sava Perovic”, with a continuing participation in the activities of the Institution in Belgrade, well as internationally.

He holds medical diploma, diploma in military medicine, diploma in diving medicine, self-divers degree, diploma in Urology, European Urology Boards.

At this stage, he is retired as a Captain in the Navy and he is active in the private sector in Greece, as a member of “The Doctors” Medical Network and Athens Beverly Hills Medical Group and also abroad (Sava Perovic Foundation and Dubai Healthcare City).

He is mainly dealing with the male and female urinary incontinence, male infertility, minimally invasive techniques for prostate, bladder and urolithiasis, surgical of urethra and penis, aesthetics - reconstructive surgery of external genital disease (Peyronie, phalloplasty, congenital anomalies, sex Reassignment).
